PRP Face Mesotherapy

Face mesotherapy with the method of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is an anti-aging treatment that uses growth factors produced by activated platelets.

It is also called autologous mesotherapy, because the platelet-rich plasma is derived by the patient’s own body, and thus poses no danger of allergy, hypersensitivity or foreign-body reactions.

In order to proceed to PRP autologous face mesotherapy, a small volume of blood (5-15 ml) has to be collected from the patient. The withdrawn blood is centrifuged so as the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is isolated. An activating agent such as a solution of nucleotides (PRP with DNA activator), and calcium ions (e.g., calcium chloride) is then added to the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to activate platelets and release their content prior to use. The activated platelets produce growth factors, which detect and repair any tissue damage of the epidermis.

Growth factors are proteins with regeneration, wound-healing and reconstructing properties that are produced by specific cells in our body. These growth factors stimulate proliferation of fibroblasts and keratinocytes which produce collagen and elastin. They enhance the repair of damaged tissue, attract undifferentiated stem cells into the newly formed matrix and trigger cell division.

Finally, the platelet-rich plasma is infused to skin areas requiring regeneration. Improvements on skin texture and tone can be noticeable within a couple of weeks following the first session, and the face looks younger and radiant.

PRP mesotherapy is also effective

In reducing wrinkles and firming the skin of face and neck
It is either performed as monotherapy or alternatively can be used after a facial fractional laser treatment during the same session. This method of approach significantly enhances regeneration achieved by fractional laser. The combination of fractional laser and autologous PRP mesotherapy has impressive results in skin rejuvenation, and Cosmetic Derma Medicine has been one of the first clinics to apply this protocol. The combination of fractional laser with PRP is called Total Plasma Lift.

In healing scars since growth factors have reconstructing and regenerating properties. As a monotherapy, or combined with laser, PRP visibly reduces scars caused by surgical operations, burns or injuries.

In treating acne scars on the face, back and chest.
It is the most effective treatment for repairing acne scars. It requires a cycle of 6 to 8 sessions.

Moreover, PRP mesotherapy improves the appearance and texture of stretch marks, and in combination with other laser treatments it can even eliminate red stretch marks.

The key advantages of PRP mesotherapy are the following ones:

The effects are long lasting, and may exceed one year

It causes natural regeneration of the skin, without affecting the face’s expressions or volume

Its application is easy and safe. There is no risk of allergic reactions or immune reactions as the therapy employs the use of the patient’s own blood

Apart from enhancing collagen production, it also aids other vital functions of the skin, such as epidermal nutrition and oxygenation

It eliminates the wrinkles, not by filling them, but by locally rejuvenating the skin

Mesotherapy treatment may be administered as an infusion or with a special device called Dermapen micro needling (non injectable PRP mesotherapy).

Apart from the face, PRP mesotherapy treatment may be applied on neck, hands, chest, back, and, generally, anywhere on the body. It may also help hair loss treatment.
